Over the years, the Residency Programs have earned a reputation for excellence that is exemplified in various ways.  Our Residents have historically been some of the best entering the discipline, recruited from all over our country.  We continue to do very well in the match.  The residents have been and continue to be our programs' strongest attribute.  The faculty is diverse in experience and interest.  We have experience in rural and urban practice, National Institute of Health bench research, and large practice-based methods of contributing to the medical literature, public health service and competitive private practice.  Local employers covet our graduates.  We enjoy full accreditation from the American Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and have been commended by that body for our work. 

Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital continues to be the largest private teaching hospital in Denver, and we are committed to serving its patients with high quality care. The hospital staff provides a tradition of caring that includes compassionate caregivers, stellar clinical expertise and the most advanced technology available.  Today, more than 100 residents are in training in our four accredited programs: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics/Gynecology, and Surgery.
